Staten Island authors Christopher H. Benbow and Nancy Myers Benbow,  photographer Bill Lyons, and illustrator Patricia Whitehouse have created a book which features a local attraction to represent  every letter of the alphabet, starting from the Alice Austen House, and winding up with the Staten Island Zoo. The book’s purpose is to convey the beauty and unique attributes of Staten Island while serving as an educational tool for children. It  is now available in gift shops at cultural sites throughout the borough.

The Benbows, along with Lyons and Borough Historian and Advance columnist Thomas Matteo, will host a reading and book signing Sunday from Noon to 2 p.m. at the Museum of the City of New York, 1220 Fifth Ave., North of 90th St.
