Historic Homes

Staten Island has two accessible historic districts that are home to both majestic and fanciful homes.

The Historic District in St. George features homes in the Queen Anne style (unique to New York City), Victorian Mansions, and the architecture of Edward Alfred Sargent.

The St. Pauls Avenue/Stapleton Heights Historic District features homes and buildings that once belonged to German beer moguls. Staten Island used to be home to several breweries, and their owners lived in amazing Greek Revival, Queen Anne, Second Empire, and Colonial Revival homes.
